The programme is Literacy is for Everyone, but we call it Life.
Each week, volunteers give up a lunch hour to spend with a young reader – we met up with them at George Town Primary School and found out for ourselves, the special bonds created by reading together.
Reading for pleasure isn’t always emphasized these days, but that joy is at the heart of this programme because a love of reading, is a gift that lasts a lifetime.
