The “Allure” of Tropical Gardens

First things first, Thank You to fellow real estate goddess, Michelle Watler of Engel and Volkers for stopping in the middle of her Allure Launch event to do a quick video interview with us about Allure and Ocean Crest, two developments bringing fresh new energy to Tropical Gardens.   You can watch our interview below! (My daughter says I should have called it a “collab” like the YouTubers do… Cayman Life with April ft. Michelle Watler.)

April and Michelle at Ocean Crest

As of the time of this post, construction on the second phase of Ocean Crest is underway and if you aren’t already in, you may be out of luck.  Units were getting snapped up faster than the hors de’oeuvres during Michelle’s “Meet the Developers” launch event.

With talk of the Cayman Islands population increasing to 100,000 in the coming years, developments like Allure and Ocean Crest are providing “close to town” access, modern design and desirable features like solar panels and ICF construction with a water view and easy access to the sea by boat.

The two developments target slightly different demographics. Allure promises enchanting tropical gardens and inviting ocean views starting at CI $410,000 with two and three-bedroom luxury condos.

The Allure development includes 26 units, a shared dock, and rooftop solar PV system.  The two-bedroom units on the ground floor are 1,271 square feet with an open floor plan.  The second-floor units are two stories, 2,283 square feet. Two of the bedrooms are on the first level with the master bedroom and roof terrace on the topmost floor. Michelle says they are expecting to be rolling out finished units by the fourth quarter of 2020 and early 2021.

In comparison, Ocean Crest offers three-bedroom townhomes on three levels with prices starting at CI $745,000. They are bright and airy with a single car garage and a ground floor great room. On the second level, you’ll walk into a fantastic open plan kitchen/dining/living room. Then, it is on to the third floor where the master bedroom overlooks the water. Also on the third floor, two nicely sized bedrooms with a shared bath.  The unit we saw had lovely fixtures and a number of nice finishing touches.

Michelle from Engel and Volkers is the listing agent for both developments and thankfully a fellow CIREBA agent which means – even though I’m a sales associate with Coldwell Banker Cayman Islands Realty, I can assist you in buying at either development (IF YOU HURRY BECAUSE THEY ARE SELLING LIKE CRAZY).  No joke.

Drop me a line at april@caymanspaces.com to find out more and if you call Michelle directly, make sure she knows you heard about it from April. =) Happy Home Hunting!
